Angry Buzzing interior...vibration noise is driving me nuts

Any way to get rid of this? My Z is an '06, and only a few months old. I get this buzzing vibrating noise from somewhere in the car, and I think it is coming from somewhere on the dash. Anyone found a way to remedy this?

Thanks for your post, but it ain't the mirror in my case. The buzzing noise is coming from the dashboard - maybe improper fitment? Anyone know if the dealership will address this?

Hell Yes, I have the 06 Buzzing as well. It seems to be coming from behind the Instrument cluster.

Do you have your steering wheel all the way UP ?

I like my steering wheel high. Ever since I adjusted it up, I frequently get that buzzing rattle sound.

Like there is something lose behind the instruments.

If you are outside the vehicle and look through the windshield, at the 3 Circular curves behind the cluster, it appears to be coming from there.

I have no fix as yet. Tomorrow I will try lowering the Steering slightly to see if it goes away.

I had the same problem, there was a buzz behind the instrument cluster. What I did was put pressure on various places until the buzzing stopped. Once I found a spot that relieved the noise, I jammed a small piece of black cloth between that spot and the windshield. You don't notice the cloth, and the noise disappears.

dealers have a thing with the service department where they look for the rattles...

we cometimes get Z's in where tech's spend literally all day on it, sometimes ot the point taking out all the interior panels...

my Z was a rattle box... and didnt have an interior in it

according to the TSB its the peice of plastic that covers the wires that go to your rear view mirror. That peice snaps right off so next time you hear it grab it and pull it off... if the buzz goes away then the next time you are at the stealership you can have them do the tsb or somehow pad that peice yourself so it doesn't make any noise.

my seat is squeeky when I make a hard turn it will make a squeek I figured it was just a loose bolt or something but when I took it to the dealer they replaced the entire base under warranty.

i've addressed this instrument cluster rattle once before in another thread...
last summer while driving around downtown Reno, i noticed this constant rattling somewhere behind the instrument panel for the first time in my 03. One of my favorite nissan tech took care of it in no time. i woulda sold my Z if that rattle wasn't fixed. Now it rides like a dream.

Dealership will analyse and fix rattles free of charge the first year of you purchase so better do it now before the year is over.
