Default Planning on buying a new 350Z, whats going on with the 06's, 07's?

I am basically wondering what is going on with the 06's right now, and when are the 07's expected to be available. I seem to be having an impossible time finding the Z how I want it, and I am starting to think that an order is the only way to go. So can I still make an order for a new 06 Z, or is the production about done with? Would the 07 be worth the wait anyways? The Z I want is a Grand touring silverstone Z, with burnt orange seats, and the nav system.

I assume production is already finished. 07 Models generally comes around Sept. or Oct., but not 100% about Zs. I bought my 05 in Nov, and that was the only 05 left

You could try what I did - go to the nissan site and use the build application they have. Setup the car you want and then send it to all dealers 200? miles around you.

What happened with me is I got calls back, I told them what I wanted to do on price and what I wanted for trade in and eventually one of them played ball.

They had to ship the exact color I wanted to me, but in the end it was worth it. Just keep in mind, the more specific you are, the more expensive it might end up being for you.

Good Luck!

Ask two or three dealers if you can still order.

lobotomy above had a good program it seems to me. Might follow his example except I'm in the get-exactly-what-you-want-camp even if it means paying a bit more.

who knows, maybe they'll end production run of the Z after this year; all in the air for now right?

Mine took 6 months to get the car. It's now been 9 months since I ordered and I still don't have the aerodynamic package I ordered on it. Looks like they are now going to refund me the purchase price of the package 3 months later since it's "still on backorder".

I bought a silverstone Touring 2 months ago and used the internet to check dealer inventories in my area. I bought an automatic and am thinking they will have paddle shifters on the wheel for 07 which would be better.
