So last night, some friends and I were hanging out. My 06 SS Z, an 06 PPW Z (GGryphin), an 04 DG G (HomieG35), and an 01 GT Mustang. We started on one side of Houston and decided to drive practically clean accross the city. We leave the parking lot at Starbucks and start heading out. The 4 of us were playing around a bit, and a little ways down the road, another Mustang came to play. He cruised with us for a while, and after a few minutes, a couple more Stangs joined in.
A Jetta joined in, then a G6, a red BMW, then a few more Mustangs. Eventually we had about 20-25 other cars that we collected along the way, including the 4 of us. People we would pass would just keep joining in, and random rolling races ensued.
Continuing to drive down Westheimer in an oddly chaotic yet strangely orchestrated grouping, we started having 3-way, 4-way, 8-way, 20-way races. On a 4 lane section of the road, There were about 4 or 5 rows consiting of 4 cars each. We would stop at red lights, all of us completely consuming the front half of the traffic at any given intersection. When the light turned green, all of us would take off at full throttle, motors screaming, tires burning up. 120 mph easy, and you would see 20 -25 sets of brake lights come on and 20 -25 nose-dives when the next light turned red, and it started all over again.
Cruising in more open parts of the road, the random rolling races ensued again. Cars continued to join us, which included a few STi's and a few other Euros and Domestics.
When the night was over, the 4 of us broke away headed back home, all intermitently racing one another, sometimes just cruising 110 and above in a small pack, still collecting other cars (inclusive of an integra that I watched almost NAIL my friend's G from the back).
Anyway, that was the summary of the night. It was the coolest exhibition of mob-mentality and unplanned grouping. Just thought I'd post. I will now add a list of the cars I raced and beat:
Black 04 STi (how the hell?!)
Silver 0? Jetta
Red 01 Mustang GT
My friend's G35
Black 9? Firebird
Oddly enough the only car I couldn't beat was the one EXACTLY like mine. lol. Driver's race, eh?

List of cars beaten:
01 Cobra
02 GT
The Jetta?
STi was pretty even considering we only got to do like 60-90 haha

Nice! sounds like fun. Reminds me of the time when me (in the Z) and my friend in the boxster were racing down the street and were joined by a mid 90's testarossa, and a new 911 turbo. We were racing in and out of traffic. It was really fun. especially when the ricers tried to join.
That ferrari was wicked fast and sounded so good!

Why don't we setup alittle fun run then? I know a few 1000hp Supras, bikes, and turbo and supercharged Vettes used to meet up. We took the same route almost everyweekend the cops would [luckily] always catch up to us at our "cool down" spot and ask us all these questions before we turned around to come back to Houston.
As long as there are about 8 - 10 cars we should be alright. I'll have to look for a new route... the bikes are always up for it and there are usually about 15 of them.

Damn, I live in the wrong damn country.
I seriously have to move to the states.
Texas especially seems like my kind of place.
Lucky bloody Americans
