You are hearing the normal hiss of your car as it's running..but since you are probably driving by a curb on the driver's side or a fense or wall.. you hear it much better as it echos back to you. It's your spokes on your rims that blocks the sound on and off again as the wheel rotates which is also why it's pace speeds up incrementally as you accelerate. Not a prob at all if you ask me. PS: you probably only can hear it at night when it's quiet and you have your windows down right? no biggie.
I have the same problem, but I hear it all day everyday not just at night. I want to get rid of it.

My guess is that you *and I* are just hearing the hiss of the fuel line. It's constant and always pumps the full amount of gas the car would ever need if you were to floor the engine. I can even hear the hiss/whine with the windows up while the car is stationary as it idles. I like it though. Maybe there is something you can do about it tho, like replace the fuel line with a wider, less restrictive one??? totally random guess on the solution though.
