Default retard at gas station put in regular

i live in jersey and thus we dont pump our own gas. usually its a nice thing but today the jackass put in 30 bucks worth of regular, 87....i didnt notice till i looked at my gas gauge after i left and saw that it was unusally high...then i looked at the receipt and saw he put in regular. will this be bad? what should i do???

don't panic...just don't do it again.
friend of mine put gasoline in his TDI, guess what happened.

You should be fine. When the tank goes down a bit, just fill it up with premium. I think the issue comes from repeated use of regular gas for a certain time period.

Haha, man don't fret. The car runs better on 93, but it will not harm your engine. Just finish out that tank and put 93 in the next tank.

yeah, im anxious now to get premium in her again....thinkin about just drivin around to burn a 1/4 of that crap off and put some 93 back in

$30 is around 10 gallons of regular in your area, right? Just put 10 gallons of race gas on top of it. It'll even out.

It's possible to hear knocking with the lower grade fuel if you start pushing the RPMs.

I would just drive around, burn a little fuel, then drop some 100 oct in there, a couple gallons, definitely dont be hitting the higher rpms with just the 87 in it. Better yet, just drive softly on it for a while if you dont want to waste gas, then next time be sure to tell them to put 91 in, now I dont remmber off the top of my head, our gas door says Premium only doesnt it? Go back there, show them the receipt and ask for a free tank of 91 next time

Just fill with 100+ octane from now on and you will have nothing to worry about.
