Default kjr performance

My question is has anyone ordered from this company. Sunday I paypaled them $180 for a pulley and still have no response from them. I have emailed them several times, both nothing. I will go to there page it tells me my order is still processing, but on the receipt it says I will receive my order within 3-5 business days. I will give them a few more days and then maybe trying to get my money back from paypal. I don't know, what do you guys think. I heard nothing bad about this company, thats why I ordered from them. Isn't he a member on here, if so what his member name. Thanks

yeah, you have nothing to worry about. his forum name is jonathanalboona or some variation of that. i ordered my pulley from them, and got it in a timely manor. Just make sure you put the pulley on tight enough, cause if you don't it will kill your engine, and they won't give you a damn bit of help. If you do a search for kjr pulley i am sure you will pull up many threads about them. overall i think the response to their product has been good, only a couple cases like mine where severe damage was caused.

Actually, you tighten it to 30-35 ft-lbs then tighten the bolt an additional 60° turn.

For those who put it on yourself, what did you use to check the tension/deflection of the belt. If a certain tool where did you buy it from.

willing to help you if you need anything? i don't know about that... their pulley killed my engine and it was installed to their directions, which were wrong, and they said they would send me a new pulley, and never did. I had to replace my entire motor because of bent valves, caused by a chip of aluminum sheering off of the back of the pulley and messing up the timing chain, in turn throwing off the time, and destroying the engine.

EDIT: they said they wouldnt cover the engine because they didn't install the pulley themselves.

I could never find a belt tension gauge and the manual method of measuring deflection requires a spring-type scale which I didn't have either.

What I did was to count how many turns of the tension bolts I made for the two idlers when I loosened them. Then once the new pulley was on, I tightened them the same number of turns.

Belt tension is more about feel if anything, once you tighten it make sure to pressure down on the belt at the longest section between two points, usually the rule of thumb is it can move within 1 inch.

I have a KJR pulley as well that I have to install, good luck with yours.

JonathanAbonna

I appreciate the $15 refund I am received but am still curious about the shipping of the pulley. I was told by Jay P. that it was shipped out on Tuesday 6/20. Was there a problem and it wasn't shipped at that time or was the shipment lost?
