anyone know what the m35 is getting?
I agree with ihatethat...They don't necesarily need higher hp bc they can make it a raw machine and that will do. Like the R Type cars in the Honda/Acura line up. They change some stuff in the engine to rev higher but most of it is brakes, handling and weight reduction.

32+45+23+23=123
3188 curb weight - 123 lbs weight reduction = 3065 lbs
My car stays toe to toe with a friend that has Base model w/ Axis 19", AEM intake and and chipped ECU and pulls a Performance model with a popcharger.
My motor is completely OEM. The performance model guy drove my car and said the difference is quite noticable. He said the car brakes better too.
"350Z Coupe and 350Z Roadster
The 2007 Nissan 350Z is scheduled to go on sale in January 2007. The changes for the new model year will include new exterior colors, a new gray colored convertible top (Roadster models), Active Head Restraints and performance enhancements including a new VQ35HR engine.
The 2007 350Z will again be available in Coupe and Roadster body styles and in an array of models –four for the Coupe, including a Grand Touring model, and three for the Roadster (including the Grand Touring automatic transmission version).
More information on the 2007 Nissan 350Z will be available at a later date."
This comes directly from http://www.nissannews.com/ The Z will get the same engine as the G. However, I have seen other postings supposedly from Nissan saying that the base model will be dropped.

Weight reduction impacts handling - braking - acceleration for example...
StreetRacer decreased weight to 3065lbs and most of that can be achieved with less than $1000 and your own labor. Now add up improved brake kit, suspension, and power-adder to achieve the same power-to-weight with the 3200lb 350Z. Much greater investment.
Word has it that the interior of the 2007 Z's are all made of aluminum and the seats are made of alligator skin, snake/cobra skin on the track models. The exterior is all carbon fiber. Can't wait.. I have my name on the list already..
The '07s come stock with your choice of green, red, or purple neons in the interior and the extrerior. Very nice.
I have a source in NISSAN and he tells me that they are planning on releasing a SUPER-GT version of hte '07 in late February. The engine is replaced with an F-16 jet engine.
Oh, the '07s also give you a ******* while you drive. Yeah.
