Hi everyone, new kid on the block
Hi everyone,
My name is T.J. and I am 15 years old. I have been waiting for a long time to get a 350Z. Any trim would be awesome! I can't get one when I'm 16, but maybe when I turn 17-18. My parents say that I can't get one when I'm 16 because insurance would be too high, and we couldn't get under a high insurance premium then. I have wanted a Z since I first saw and drove my Aunt's when I was around 12 years old. I only got to go around 40 mph though. I have been looking, admiring, and envying them for around 3 years. I can just sit and look at pictures of them for hours on the internet. I love the 2006 ones! (Awesome pictures on here as well!) I think of the day I'll get one everyday. My parents are really getting tired of hearing me talk about 350Z's. I really have wanted nothing more in my life. I only have about 1 year 9 months - 2 years 9 months until I can pull out of the dealership with one. For my past three birthdays, my parents took me by the local dealership and let me sit in them and look at them in person. That is my favorite part of my birthday every year! Anyways, I just wanted to join this site because I truly love this car, and have a real attachment to it. It is truly something I would do almost anything for. This site is great for learning about them, and just admiring them if you are like me. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and tell every one on the site Hi, and remember to deeply enjoy and love this car, because if given the chance I would to the fullest. Thanks for reading this...

I can relate I fell in love as soon as they came out and wouldn't stop talking about them (and what I would do to mine) until I got it. Man that was all I talked about for the 6 months before I got it. I feel like a pric, because my parents bought it and I only contributed a small amount of money but...it was a graduation/18th BD gift.
That waiting until you are 17-18 for insurance to be cheaper is BS because insurance won't go down until you are 25 or married.
EDIT: The majority of my conversations with my dad involve my Z and how eternally greatful I am of his generosity.

I understand about the insurance, it's just we can't afford a car right now. I completely understand my parent's situation and will always think of them before myself. Selfish is one thing that I'm not. I can wait a couple more years, I've been waiting a long time anyways. I figure by the time I get one, I will have waited 4-5 years, and have spent over 3 years of my life looking at pictures and dreaming. I have actually lain in bed thinking of a 350Z to see if I could actually think about it long enough to dream about driving it that night. It's worked a couple of times. All I can do now is dream.

WOw this thread is redic,
anyway if i were you, if your soooooo set on getting the z then start working and saving some money to help your generous parents out. In reality, by the time u will be able to drive this z there will probably be a next gen. z right around the corner or another car u will like better.

Yeah I know how you feel man, I'm 16 and my dads lookin' for one for me. He's a independent dealer, waitin' for him to find a good deal at an auction or somthing. Its kinda gay cuz I could get one tomaro or I could get one in like 3 months, it's all chance. The wait is killin' me. I havn't even driven one yet. Ive driven 2 g35 coupe manuals and 1 auto though. I think I'm gonna go test drive one this weekend wit my dad.
Keep reading and looking at info so if you decide to mod your Z when you do get it, you know exactly what your doing so you don't have to do stuff two or three times.

Work hard, save your money and someday we'll check you on the highway...
It's always so much more enjoyable when you pay for something yourself.

Welcome TJ, learn everything you can over the next while, keep saving your coin (I respect that btw) and work hard in school. One day, your dreams might just come through.

That's a damn shame. This 15 year old put together a better written and more thought out post than most of the members of this site are capable of. Welcome TJ. If you want it bad enough, you'll get it. Chances are the new Z will be out in the next couple years and you can be one of the first to get one. Enjoy the site.
