Sometimes mine flashes --- and others it flashes 0...not really sure if there's a difference or why it does this.

The "crap" (dirt and condensate) are always at the bottom of the tank.

I have filled up 4 times so far, and the MPG calculation it does is always exactly correct, even to the decimal. ie. 9.5 KM / Ltre in my case yesterday.
So I have now stopped setting my trip meter and using a calculator to do the calc as the onboard computer is very accurate.

So based on this I would assume the DTE would be just as accurate.

I am pleased to hear that once it says DTE 0, there is still a 3 gallon reserve.

The DTE is also determined on how you drive and what kind of road you are on. Example, on the highway or downtown streets.

The DTE could say I have 150KM to go when I am driving on the highway, but as soon as I get off the highway onto the streets, It ususally changes to 130KM left.

I drive with 1/4 tank or less all of the time, and have seen the "---" many times. I can't say I ever remember seeing a 0 dte.

Curious about the 3 gallon "reserve" when the dotted line appears. I have never heard that before...
