I have the titanium one and the plastic ring on the shift boot sometimes rattles against it.

when you remove the factory shift ****, there is a nother metal colar ring thingy you have to remove as well... most leave it on... most of the time its this piece that is rattling...

where did you purchase your nismo ****. how long ago? you may beable to have it replaced under warranty if it is a problem with the actual **** and not what i described above...

my shift **** did that for a little bit, i ended up screwing in the shift **** so hard that it must of wedge the carbon fiber into the top of the ****. Try screwing it in to the point you start turning the shiftboot. It might work.

This is what I am talking about... the piece highlighted in RED... It is usually stuck on there pretty good... so most people leave it on... and it comes loose later on and rattles... after that is removed, your **** wont rattle...

i got it for christmas so i'd say they won't take it back. i know it's the carbon piece cause i can just put my finger on it with little pressure and it stops.

You mean like the carbon fiber piece is no longer attached to the ****...and just kinda spins around on it's own? If so that's definitly a warranty thing.

its got a 1 year warranty from nissan... if you got it for christmas, and have the box... your local dealer might work with you on it...

you can try!

There is a form you need to fill out for it... If they have trouble finding it, I can fax it to you and you can show it to them and they will know what they need to do from there

I have just the factory **** but my shifter makes a small sound hardly audible but I am very picky and hear all the small stuff. I mostly hear it when Im driving on the freeway, if I push down on the shifter slightly, it goes away. Do you think that the collar your talking about Jason is the reason why?

There was a thread about the shifter vibrating at certain RPMs. Mine does this too..but I got a stock shifter. I imagine the problem to be the same and not because you got a different shifter.
