Default Sucky install last night

so yeah, i got my motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer yesterday and me and my friend start installing it at 7:30pm...everything's going OK, when about halfway through, my friend accidentally drops one of the little white plastic spacers into the engine bay...so we figure, no big deal, we'll just take some bolts out of the plastic cover on the bottom of the car and get it out...well , after nearly 2 frickin hours of searching for this little thing, we give up and put the car back together, thinking it'll be fine, since its a pretty minor part and i'll just order a replacement from motordyne...we get everything back in and i start the car...we hear this knocking sound and i'm like "jesus, i killed my car"...then all of a sudden, the white spacer flies out of the engine bay and lands right in front on the car!...needless to say, we were both stunned and quite annoyed that we spent so long looking for it...anyway, we finished up around 11:15 or 11:30...at least the car sounds and feels great

Its always something stupid that makes an easy install take forever. Recheck the bolts after you drive it a little because mine were not as tight after the manifold heated /cooled down.

When I did this install I broke one of the lower plenum gasket bolts I think it was and it took me forever to find a new one

Whats up djnc? Last time I talked to you was like half a year ago on cardomain.

That story is precisely why I always take my car to the pros. My front strut has washers under it to clear the plenum spacer and when I had it dynoed the technician removed the strut bar and dropped one of the washers. Needless to say I was a tad nervous, but he recovered without much trouble.
