Ok.....here is what I know for 100 percent fact....Im getting my VIN in 2 weeks But I was told that a select few have VIN#'s now (750 nation wide aka June Production)......MAN do the people here on the forums care that after 6 months their Z is born??????

REMEMBER THE DEALERS ARE MORONS...they most likely will call you the wek before and say your car is here.

Well I got a list of all the tracking numbers at my dealership with people in the first allocation.

What does this mean?? Well now that I know all the tracking numbers for my dealer I will confirm my guess...

But My guess is if your tracking number starts with a R you are in June production and guess what you already have a VIN # and a finished Z

S number for July builds
this follows suit with just a couple getting here in early august and the bulk of 1st allocation S numbers coming in late aug early sept.

Hopfully I will have some VIN numbers to post soon to confirm my guess.

 

So an "R" number seems like a very good thing!!

My guess is that if you have a R number THAT YOU HAVE A VIN NUMBER...and you will be driving your car in MID-EARLY AUG

I am curious if the 4 vs 0 (3rd numbers) in the numbers indicate a model type or AT vs MT any clues?

my number is R123817 on the Customer order sheet sent to my dealer in April '02.
Am I right?

Hey instead of making graphs on the pointless numbers from Meritz on the back of the secrets reveled case....can we start making graphs based on Tracking numbers and VIN numbers as it relates to order date????

Arch.....well this is my guess......I want to confirm it.....I need permisson from the folks that ordered at my dealership to get their VIN # to confirm my guess...i emailed them waiting for a reply....Im excited....Also if everyone posts there R or S numbers we can make a graph...IF there are very few R #'s out there and many S#'s im most likly right ESPECIALLY IF the R #'s are 1st allocation and first to order at their dealer....since ZISME aka Rob S. and RXO Has stated that production of June is very few and that from what i was told by Rob that my car is estimated at Sept and I have a S number....Well you get the point.

Suggest you start a new thread, and I'll add the order # to the sheet as we receive posts. Looks like I should also add a column for "Date Vehicle Received".

Now that will be an enjoyable field to complete!

I've posted here several times and about the only one responded too was about a raped monkey ..... LOL....something about an inquirey into how fast a raped monkey was.....so I seriously doubt anyone is tracking me. Oh, and Jman responded about some .iso/dvd player stuff. (which I still think would have worked well with the press packet DVD......no rips just make an .ISO available....we could have all mounted it.......but I guess we should save that for a different forum. )

What steps do I take to find this information. There are posts here about Dealers, Reps, Offices? If you had to make a "list" of things to do to get your number what are they. I want to know how I'm doing. God this is getting intense. I want it NOW. . . Don't we all, I can see 6000+ people with HUGE smiles on there faces, billowing in the wind, going 100+ mph. Oh what a beautiful site.
