Default -=Ive been looking around and cant find this hood...=-

i know some of you will think that its a stupid ricer hood but im looking for a stock looking hood that is completly see through. Ive Searched and i cant find anything for the 350Z, only civics.. haha does that tell you anything... But anyway im trying to persue this and any help would be appreciated. i plan to Color match every paintable part in the engine to the car (CS) so it wont stand out completly but it will be 100% noticable still.
thanks

mc350z, Check out Fast and Furious.. I'm pretty sure you'll see one.

I haven't seen one for the Z yet. Only CF. You may have to see if someone can do it custom. Or flip through an isssue of SuperStreet.

I can't believe I'm typing this in a 350z forum. Neat idea though. Good luck and share pics once finished.

yeah i know alot of people will give me a TON of **** but i think it will look good and once people see it in person it will be different. (driving on the streets it will be a stock hood or CF) but i plan on showing my 350Z in the future and im trying to come up with something creative and origional.

No offense and I admire you wanting to do something different, but the idea isn't very original.. although I suppose somewhat original considering you're doing it to a Z.

It's probably made out of Lexan. It's much stronger than plexi-glass, but I wonder if it'd be street legal. You could probably check with an auto glass company, as we have one around here that does some custom fabrication with lexan.

yeah i know its not "origional" but its origional with a 350Z as you stated before. And its fine if its not street legal because i had planned on only using it in shows. im researching a little bit more about it as we speak

It would be interesting to see on a Z, Not an entirely new idea they did it on Grease!

Why wouldn't it be street legal? No worse than when ppl drive around with no hood and cops never bother them.

Yes, they are made from Lexan. There is a company is California that produces them custom made to order. I will try and remember the name. It is in the Clairmont Mesa area of Southern California. I have a receipt from their shop somewhere. (not for a hood though)
