alright guys thanks, I just wanted to get an over all idea on what people feel about the basic vs. the enthusiast. i want to get the best value for my buck.
You need traction control or VDC, it's nice to have even though I turn it off everytime when it's nice out.
I could manage without VDC and traction control no problem. Keeping it on the road with even 100ft lbs more of torque even during the rain and such is no big deal as long as you are careful and responsible...But I wouldn't want to go without a limited slip for sure Get the enthusiast, unless you plan on spending the $$ for an aftermarket diff, or just don't really ever plan on going WOT...

I go WOT in my 06 base all the time without any issues, imo if you know how to drive a RWD car then you should not have any issues w/o LSD, yes the LSD is helpful but not absolutely necessary......

It's not a matter of knowing how to drive. It has more to do with the weight of the vehicle. The Exige doesn't have an LSD and it handles just fine. The Z really needs it though.
I also go WOT in my '06 base almost everyday and I never said to myself "I need an LSD." I power-slide corners and cruise canyon roads every weekend and still have never had a problem. I guess it would be nice if I did have an LSD but the OEM LSD is not all that great anway and I'd rather get an aftermarket one if I need one.
The money you save from getting a base instead of enthusiast can be used to get a much better LSD installed and you'll still have money left over for a few more mods. I know I"m biased but I think base is the way to go unless you plan on leaving the car stock then enthusiast is the best choice.
Call me crazy, but I love the steering wheel audio controls. Those along with the autodimming mirror / homelink give the car a few extra "cool" features. I know that they alone are not a good reason for buying a car, but they are now things that I'm glad that I have.
