I have a 2004 Enthusiast Z with about 28300 miles on it I bought it about a month ago and some times when I’m driving I here a high pitch whistle type noise it only goes away when pressing in the clutch. Also sometimes it seems like the car does not want to go in to 2nd gear. I have not actually grinded any gears to where you can hear it but there have been times that I can feel it while shifting. Any suggestions on what the noise is?

Intake? My intake and lightweight pulleys together make a whistling almost like a really quiet supercharger, . But I like that, hah.

I should have put there are no after market parts on the Z yet (no Intake).

I've got an 03' and I heard this squeeling sound too.. but it's only during acceleration. If I slow down or stay steady, it goes away. I haven't checked to see if it goes away when pressing on the clutch or not. I have a JWT popcharger, but I didnt' think this would have been the cause..

I don't have any problems with my 2nd gear, but I do have a grinding when I shift from 6th down to 5th. Maybe this has to do with the faulty transmissions on some 03 and 04s?
