Drove a Cherokee for quite some time before the Z. I went from an '86 Rx7 to a 93 GC Lim, to the Z. The absolutely only thing I miss is the 4 wheel drive in the rain/snow.

I traded in my '04 Murano for an '06 Z. Talking about a tough decision! The Murano is a beautiful CRV (Crossover Vehicle) and I miss it -- it was roomy, very comfortable and fast (for a FWD). It was definitely more practical than the Z. But I've always wanted to own another Z (I used to have a '78 280Z) so it was the right time to do it . . . and I have not regretted it! I do have a GMC pickup as a daily driver . . .

Bought a Toyota Highlander brand new put 10k miles on it and then got the 350z. Didn't feel cool in the SUV at all.

Big plus of having two so different vehicles is that after a few days of not driving the Z, I fall back in love with the Z when I do take her out...

But small things like picking up dry cleaning (is there a hook for laundry?) or buying groceries. I just want to know some of the small things FORMER SUV owners and current 350Z owners miss? Any info will be helpful I just want to know every little thing I can expect before I get my very own Z.
Have a 4x4 Pathfinder since 1997. If you want to keep the explorer, make sure its 4x4. No need to keep an SUV if its not a 4x4.

The change from a SUV to a Z is quite astonishing. Makes it even more fun. In fact, after driving my IS250, I get in my Z and I just smile and floor it. I'm happy with my Z. Its a keeper as well as my 4x4. Not sure about explorers though. Thay are domestic.

Well i was planing on keeping the explorer for a short time and then selling it when i move. YOU all make great points and i feel that i will keep it around atleast untill i get my Jeepster back on the raod, then the exploder is gone. (I don't need three cars being single and fresh out of college) I have well over 185k on it and she has her issues like any car but if i have a built Jeepster and a Z i think i will be ok.

Went from a 2002 Pathfinder to a 2004 350Z, you will not have the room in the "Z" you have in the explorer and if you are worried about moving then keep the explorer but you will never drive it. Once you have driven the "Z" for a while the explorer just wont do it for you anymore. Also this site is dangerous, meaning if you think you are going to want to keep the explorer you might not want to stay on this site are you will find your self thinking about selling the explorer b/c you could by a TT kit, or wheels and exhaust and suspension trust me it's a disease. Either way get the "Z" you will not regret!!!!

Even Better. I have two SUV's right now and i will never sell my Jeepster Commando but you give me a good idea to sell my explorer for money/parts for the Z thanks man i would have never thought of doing it that way!

Cheers

Yeah Buddy...
I Had A 99 Montero Sport.. Loved The Room And The Height. Lots Of Room. My Wife Surprised Me With A 06 350z Enth.. When I Arrived Back From Iraq In April 06.. I Love Everything About The Car. But It's Not A Pick Up Grocery Type Of Vehicle. I Am Currently Stationed In Ky So The Winter Season Is Aboiut To Start. If I Had My Montero It Would Not Be A Problem To Get Around When It Starts To Snow. I'm Currently Looking For A 4x4 Truck Or Suv To Get Around In During The Winter Months. I Want To Park My 350z During The Next Few Months. 350z's Are Fun Cars, But It's Going To Get Use To Going From A Suv To A Sports Car... Good Luck..

i went from 03 touring lemans 6MT to 06 fx35 awd. had my Z for about 2 years. it being my only car, it wasnt very practical. winter was always a headache. so i had to give it up and get something more practical. traded it in for a nicely loaded fx35 copper color with the burnt orange seats of course (nav, back up camera, xm, lcc, bluetooth). miss the Z. but will def buy another Z one day.....

My g/f has a blazer, so I traded my car in for a Z. No regrets so far. Absolutely love the Z. The Z is only for you and one passenger. It does have a surprising amount of storage space in the rear (coupe only) though.

The roadsters are the extreme of unpractical

I traded in my '04 Wrangler Sahara. Only thing I miss is going 4-wheeling on the weekends.
