Tarek.... that depends on how high you take the RPM... if you shift at low RPM the difference will be smaller than if you take the RPM higher.... after redline@6600rpm the next upshift will not start back anywhere close to 6100rpm.

im used to driving my 98' isuzu amigo and that 4 banger usually took about 3k-3.5K rpm to switch from 1st to 2nd. But w/ the Z, i shift at lower RPM's because of the extra gear. It sucks, because I normally drive my friend's car and they're 5 spd, and are pretty much sh1za.

Default Rev matching

Roast...I think you're right. I was trying to find a simple and direct way for rev matched shifting. I will do some testing and see ...

Hrm... interesting comments about smooth shifting. I personally add just the slightest amount of gas as I engage so that the engine braking doesn't get felt too much. I still think i shift pretty quickly but will this wear out my clutch really bady? It's just the slightest breath of gas so there isn't jerk.

Nah your fine.

The clutch can take some abuse and last a long long time. No need to split hairs.
