this morning as i was going to church like a good boy, i saw a mustang saleen next to me but i really didnt care cuz its a stinkin stang. as i was driving slow he started to get next to me so i was like ahh he wants to play but then i didnt all tho i wanted to and very temping but i couldnt. BECAUSE my car wasnt fully warmed up. i just got out of the house with the car not being warmed up all the way. so i lost my chance racing a saleen. some will say i should of went for it and some wont but i only have 2k on the car and im planning to have this car for along time hopefully.

ps. if i did race and im stock 06 who would win? i think the saleen was stock also

i saw a mustang few days dont know which model but it was making a screaming sound as it speeds aways it sounded so crazy.. i never heard a mustang like that i was like wow

I'm pretty sure Saleen offers different models, stages if you will, so that info would probably help a bit.

 

Did it sound supercharged? If not, it wasn't an S281 or S351. You would've beat it.

 

If it's the real deal you wouldn't even see him he'd be gone so fast.

 

they stopped making s351 in 95 i believe...they were only a limited edition mustang....it was either a s281 which is supercharged with around 375 horse or it was just a saleen that was NA. s281 would have smoked u needless to say. So you might want to pick and choose which saleens you mess with haha i was DIE HARD ford before i traded my GT in for the Z...very happy with the Z by the way...so i know about everything about mustangs

 

Not true, I've driven both models SC and NA, their identical in looks. SC versions are somewhat fast but not what everyone thinks. Saleen SC makes very low boost on stock pulley{4/5lbs}, but there are optional pulleys available. The NA cars are no faster than stock GT but the handling is incredible.

 

They were made from '94 until at least '99.

 

your right..they made them until the new PI heads came standard on the GT which was 99....98 was the last year they were made...also the last year before the 99-04 bodystyle

 

Saleen S281 Mustangs have Saleen engines... not FORD. Only the body is FORD. You would lose.

 

its still a ford motor...the only thing saleen does is strap a s/c on and do some suspension and body kit work....still the 4.6 ford motor tho...but yes...you will lose
