Default disengage ignition

is there any electronic mechanism that will allow me to prevent theft by disengaging the ignition in my Z everytime i leave the car?

That's exactly what the ignition switch does.

is that something that can be taken out of the car so that if someone were to break into my car, they couldnt just flip the switch???

Yes, it's called your key.

You obviously haven't read the manual. The car comes standard with an immabilizer chip built into the key. The car has to recognize it when the key is inserted, which switches off the starter kill. There is no switch somone can just get in and flip.
