As one of the originals and pre order guys, I'd like to say thank you to this board for all the sharing of info especially when info was sparse while waiting for those preorders.
Last week I handed in the Z as my 48 month lease was expiring and the deals on '06 BMW 3 series were too enticing to pass up. I sure will miss the power and torque of the Z, but at the same time, I am very happy with the interior and fit and finish of the 3. 2 great but very different cars.
Good luck to all and be safe out there.
Never know, I may be back in the family in the new G35 coupe in 36 months
Thanks

No.
This purchase was very price motivated. BMW financial put great incentives on in August to blow out the '06's before the 328 and 335 came in.
325i with Sport Package
330 Sport package wheels for the summer
Sunroof
Xenons and cold weather package are also standard in Canada
3.4%
39 months
5.5% discount on the car
62% residual
$200 less per month then the Z was.
Couldnt really pass it up as I was looking to spend less this time around.
Yes, the 335 will be amazing, but no joke, the monthly payment would be almost double what I'm paying...same story if I would have gone with the new 3 coupe...no incentives.

Thanks guys.
Got Sparkling Graphite (the very dark grey) on Black Leatherette.
Residual on a normal 36 month lease through BMW financial is 60% in Canada on the 325i, but I did a low km lease and was surprised and happy to see the printout when it recalculated to 62%...plus another incentive was the 3 month extention to 39 months while holding the same 62%. Lets just say that much lower quality and less prestigous cars I was looking at actually came out at MORE per month then the '06 325i. It was sort of a no brainer given my situation and the fact that I'm 3 years married now so having kids may overlap this lease (another two seater wasnt really an option).
