Default Does anyone else have rattling plastic sounds from under their Z?

When I go over un-even surfaces and small bumps I get this really strange sound. It's like someone took a ruler and put in on the edge of a desk, and then let it vibrate till it slowed down. I'm pretty sure it's one of those plastic shields I see when looking under the car, towards the rear.

Anyone else have this? If so which peice is it? I don't think it's from the suspension!

Thanks!
-Peter

No. That's not a normal sound. If you can get the thing up on a lift look for something loose like a suspension or exaust part.

Yes I heard it yesterday too. Could it be the 2 covers for the brake fluid and the battery?

Check the pop rivets underneath the rear bumper. I took my rear bumper off one time and put it back on and I guess I screwed up one of those $hitty pop rivets and it fell out. Got a new one (like 5 cents) and haven't had a problem since.

a few weeks after i got my z i heard a crazy sound from the left rear... i took a look underneath and there is a plastic panel that i guess protects the suspension components.... one of the screws came loose. easy fix... WARRANTY =D

Thanks

Goodluck!! I've had the same problem forever! I have taken it to three different shops and still no luck. If you find your problem, please post the fix!! Thanks!

You might know this already but just in case you missed it. If your sitting in your seat (passenger side) then look to your right directly beside and a little below the head rest. You'll see a little clip thats mounted in between the passenger door window and the side rear window. You can tuck your seat belt into this clip. Its their to hold it in place so it wont flop / rattle around while driving.

Hope this helps.
