Default Log In Road = Bad

So i was driving back home the other day and it was slightly damp on the road. I went around a turn at i don't know maybe 40 mph nothing fast and lieing immediately around it was a huge log nearly a tree. At this point there was no hope of dodgeing it so when i hit my car bounced violently and I lost control and spun into a grass ditch. Fortunately there was no exterior damage to the car but now the steering response is horrible. I took my car over to Subaru (I drive a 2004 STI soon to be a Z owner) and nothing was broken so i thought maybe it was just alignment. They realigned everything and they said it still isn't right i hope it's nothing major but i'm starting to think that maybe i bent something? Well anyways just an unfortunate turn of events thought i'd mention it, if i was in the Z i'd be in way more trouble i think due to ground clearance.

P.S. I think i may wait for the 2007 Z. Would be pretty cool.

Bahhh the STi is a street legal rally car isn't it? Logs and jumps shouldn't be anything to worry about!

Yea one time some semi blew a tire like 3 or 4 cars in front of me and all of the sudden I see this huge chuck of rubber flying at me and it hits the right side of the hood/wheel well, and continues down the side and the bumper. Thankfully save for a few scratches on the top of my right side mirror everything else came of after I washed and waxed her. I avoid road debris like the plague. Good thing she handles well or I probably wouldn't have been able to avoid some of it safely

A couple weeks ago I was driving home from work. I was stopped at a red light behind an SUV. The SUV had a king size matress set strapped to the roof with the two box springs on the top. Sure enough the light turns green and we start going and at about 45mph I see the matresses start to take flight. At first I start laughing, then go oh chit I need to get out of the way. Lucky for me I was in the #1 lane and there was no oncoming traffic, so I just cut left hard and went around it. I looked in the rear view mirror and see that some poor slob got tagged in the right lane.

Than a few years ago I was driving my Jetta at night and tagged a wheel and tire laying in the street. I still think some punk kids put it there on purpose (it was directly under a street light that was out). Anyways, that cost me a water pump and some high pressure lines. Lucky too I had a friend that owned a VW repair shop and got hooked up with some salvaged parts.

Now ladders are the ones that really scare me. Fack you seen tons of them all mangled up on the side of the freeways here in so cal.

Good luck getting your car straightened out.

Ouch man. I am willing to bet something is broken/bent in a major suspension deparment. Perhaps your wheels are bent also? At 40 mph a log would mess up anything (save for you average Jeep ).
