Default Uh oh.. what is happening to my tranny

This is a new tranny. I had one of the original not so great 6mts.. I had it replaced probably less than a year ago, and maybe 18k miles or so put on since..

Something is wrong. The tach is jumping when I apply light throttle. Say it jumps 500 or so RPMS then finally engages. It makes it very annoying. I can't use light throttle because it jumps, and if I continue to apply it it will just basically burn. It is def slipping. The jumping is occuring in every gear.

So what am I dealing with here? I have to make sure to downshift to a oert gear so it won't jump as much and actually bite when I try to accel.

I'm not experiencing any grinding, which was the death of my original 6mt.

Bad clutch? Sounds like it is slipping.

Yeah, I'd agree with camaro194. How many miles to you have on that clutch? It sounds like it's time for a new one.

I'd get it to the shop before you wind up stranded on the freeway. Does sound like the clutch. That won't be cheap to replace, OUCH...
