Default You have got to check out the new Nissan Sport Magazine!

Hey Guys

I got a surprise in the mail today, the inaugural issue of the Nissan Sport Magazine, edited by my friend DaveO, a member on this board.

I decided to post here about it, because I was very impressed by the magazine, and encourage you to check it out for yourself. The articles are written in a very lively style, the appearance of the pages is very sharp with great layout and design. They feature the "behind the wheel" section, which profiles the cars of the readers and forum members... Again, the writing was very nice, very refreshing. Perhaps most importantly, it is chockful of great content, and is not filled with overbearing advertizing that trumps the creative content of the publication, as is the case with SOOOOO many, if not all, magazines in the industry.

Overall, an A+++++ to a great publication. And it's only $15 per year... so I will be getting it for sure.

$15 isn't that much. Do they have a sample or preview of it?

It is the sportZ mag just renamed because too many sports fans were getting confused when picking it up off the magazine rack stand.

Nissan Sport is actually the successor to Sport Z. It's more than a simple renaming since we plan to cover all the Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun models out there. That's a tall task, but we aim to take it on and cover old, current and new models of the marque. We're working our tails off to produce a world-class magazine that Nissan fans everywhere will be proud of.

Once again, all past Sport Z subscribers are slated to have their subscriptions honored by Nissan Sport Magazine. We are doing this in good faith to showcase our product and hope that it will earn your future business!

We're still working on a distribution deal for newsstands and book stores. Why not go to www.nissansportmag.com and check out the online content? After that, a full years subscription only runs $14.95 (for comparison, the retail cover price is $5.95 for the US and $6.95 for Canada). How can you miss out with the best deal around?

Hey, just noticed you guys are in Colorado. Need any help? I've had years experience with graphic design and do some of Ferrari of Denver’s advertising and marketing.

Just received mine Fri. I only thumbed through it and noticed how well put together it was. I can't wait to enjoy it on my coffee breaks at work this week. Looking forward to the article on the two turbo'd Z's.

I paid for 2 year subscription to SportZ and after only receiving 1 issue (which I had to email them to get after everyone else received theres a month earlier) they went under... IMO, SportZ should of offered refunds (at least pro-rated ones)...

Will see if the new owners actually honor all the old subscriptions, but I won't hold my breath...

I, too, had just renewed my SportZ subscription and my Z club in Tampa had been a sponsored site for only a short time when it went under. I was assured by Art and Ed that all subscriptions to SportZ will be honored.

I just received my Nissan Sport Saturday and it's a great read. Nice layouts, intereting articles, awesome pics...I will keep renewing my subscriptions!!
Now to get some ZChickz in the pages and it will be perfect!

You can hold your breathe. You are speaking about my co-workers and I know that when they say they will back the subscription they will do it. By the way, after you get your first copy, instead of thinking you are entitled to it, you should thank them because they had no duty to do so. The bottom line is they are doing so because they feel it is the best way to treat people and in doing so, they are taking a loss.

You stated that " IMO, SportZ should of offered refunds (at least pro-rated ones)..." Let me explain it clearly. Sport Z magazine does not exist anymore and the people that started Nissan Sport Magazine are not the same owners. Yes, many of us that worked for Sport Z now work for Nissan Sport but those people are not owners, they were simply working for Sport Z.

To think that different owners of a new magazine should give you a refund is beyond reason IMO. To ask them to refund you money would be like asking Ford to give you money back for a tire feathering problem on your 350Z.

Last point is I think you will find Nissan Sport Magazine to be outstanding.
