im dumbfounded and have been wondering ever since the first time i sat in the car

It might be the TCS switch.

thats actually next to the hood pop lever.

ther button next to vdc is nothing, maybe its tcs in tcs equipped cars, but then the vdc button would be empty. whatever it is, enjoy it, cause its a great place to put your choice of buttons for whatever purpose, while retaining complete stock appearance.

It's a dummy button... you can install anything you want there. The VDC and TCS use the same button.

probably wouldn't be a bad spot for the convertible top switch... you can't hit it accidentally, as most tops won't operate unless the e-brake is pulled. just a thought.

The eject button, just in case you get twisted up in some high alpha or high-G maneuvers too close to the ground.
