Yeah, I'm getting about 16.5-17.5 mpg. But then again, I only have 2k miles ....and it's probably because I go pedal to the metal pretty often!

Do you guys think that the variance in mileage might be affected by the local octane rating? I only get about 21mpg, half city half highway, somewhat spirited driving (no track) and have about 37K miles and the Octane here in Cali is limited to 91. I always here people getting anywhere from 25-35mpg on their Z and was thinking that there had to be a reason. What do you guys think?

Always glad to see another Cali Z driver.. I just don't know how you're getting 24-25mpg.. I have about 38K miles (So yeah, definitely over the 25K mark) and have consistently gotten 21. I'm doing an experiment now, trying to rev the engine as little as possible to see how much I can raise it (as someone on here said would increase the mileage)

I have almost 41k on my '03 and it runs 23.5 normally during the week. That is some city and some highway, with plenty of WOT at least once per day.

Call me crazy, but I have noticed a slight difference in the gas mileage depending where I get gas. Mobil/Valero seem to be better than Gulf/Getty. Or I could just be imagining things. I use 93.

my '06 has about 3500 miles and I get around 19-20 with mostly city driving on 93 octane. i'd say 2/3 is "economical" driving, and the other 1/3 is getting on it pretty good coming out of turns and stoplights. rarely WOT, but often 1/2 to 1/3 throttle to 5-6k RPM.

Ive heard of an engine giving more mpg after it has been broken in, but 25000 miles ? I find that strange...
