Is there, like, a malfunction at the logic junction? How does full insurance for your new car in addition to fire/theft insurance for your Z end up cheaper than full insurance for a single car?

Before you jump over Jenn here, you can buy a beater for 3-500 dollars. I was paying 300 a month for insurance last year. If we look at keeping the 350 off the road for 6 months, that would be 1800 dollars saved. Or 1500 saved if you want fire/theft. Now the insurance on a 3-500 dollar car would be, let's say, 100 a month. That's 600 plus 500 for the car. Total = 1100. Saving 400 dollars for the 6 month period.
