Default any ideas?

I have recently moved to a province that requires front license PlaTES . I was thinking of cutting the front one narrower so it looks like the european license plates. Any thoughts? Pics will be appreciated.

I'd suggest a post in the North America sub-forum's (either east or west) canada

I don't know much about canadian laws....but cutting a license plate in the US probably wouldn't go over so well

I tossed around the idea of cutting my front plate too, but came across stories of people online that did, and got heavily fined...big no no to alter you plates in any way down here in Mass.

It's against the law to bend and/or cut a licence plate. They will either fine you or make you go get a new set of plates so either way you'll be out money.

I left the front plate off my Eclipse for 2yrs as it never had a front plate installed and the bumper was perfect and I couldn't bare to screw holes into it.

It's a hit or miss. You may get a cop that's a harda$$ when it comes to it.

Here in colorado front liscense plates are required, but i've never seen any Z with them on. Only place I know of that people ticket you for it is in down town, if you're parked down there they may give you a ticket for it, as they are just evil sometimes...

The solution many of my friends have taken is to place the liscense plate in the crack between the dash and the windshield with a piece of plastic or cloth on the bottom of the plate to keep it from scratching anything and to keep it in place. This way it's still displayed on the front of the car, just not in the normal place. With this, i've never seen anyone get a ticket or get asked to move it to the bumper... I would hope that sense cops are human they would understand that you dont want to ruin your very nice Z bumper drilling holes to put the liscense plate on...

Bad Idea of putting the plate on your front windshield. If you get into an accident, that thing can cause serious injury.

i don't see the point of cutting the plates? and if you mean you don't want to drill holes on your front bumper, you can get a Zee bracket or the stillen licence plate bracket to use the tow hook location to hold the plate if you need it there.
