Buy 07 Enthusiast without a test drive?
I just got off the phone with the local dealership near my home. He said he could have a 2007 Enthusiast Magnetic Black there in 2 hours for me to look at and test drive. Well what he didn't know was that I am currently in Baghdad puttin' in my time. So I sort of made up a story/excuse why I couldn't make it there. I didn't want to say I was in Baghdad b/c then that would trigger his mind to think "hmmmm, baghdad = $$$$ to spend".
Anyways, he said we could do all the paperwork through FEDEX, "seal the deal" and then one of my friends could pick and hold on to the Z until I get back. Only problem is, there would be no test drive. I did however own a 2006 Z Enthusiast in silver, but sold it before I went to Iraq b/c it had an automatic trans and I wanted to get the '07 manual in black.
This deal sounds really tempting:
2007 350 Z Enthusiast
Magnetic Black
Manual Transmission
$30,600
What should I do....negotiate, do the paper work, buy the Z................or wait 3 more months when I get back from Iraq???
It would be nice to step off that plane and step into my new Z.
Need to get fellow Z lovers thoughts and opinions.

i say wait til you get back.
if you're not gonna get to drive it for 3 months anyway, why buy it already? without a test drive? and who knows.. your friend might not be so gentle with it like you would..

i got a friend i trust enough to get it to my office and then park it. as far as waiting, i do see your point, but......
......the only reason i am contemplating this issue is, dealerships are only getting in like one's-eez and two's-eez. i don't want to get back and the one i want not be available. then i got to play the "waiting game" for the one i want.

I just got back from Connel Nissan in Costa Mesa. They had an 07 but it was in the showroom so I couldnt drive it. Nothinng to report that hasnt been already reported. The hood is sick as ****.
I wanted a touring Carbon Silver but they did not have one. We quickly agreed to a price of $100 over invoice. They wanted me to put some money down to place an order but I told them that I would rather not. They said they'd order one for me on monday. Sucks cause doesnt ordering take like months? If I see the one Im lookin for elsewhere, Im goin for it.

Ask the dealer to do a search on the incoming Z's to the area. You can have it diverted to your dealership if the targeted dealer agrees. Usually every dealer has a group of other dealers that they work with.
This is why it's best to put down a refundable deposit to hold the car for you, otherwise it could be sold from under your nose.

Hey evolved, how did you get your pricing so low compared to mine???? I also spoke to Connell Nissan in Costa Mesa. I was quoted 1500 above invoice. What do you guys think?

I've seen the release on the MSRP's for the 350z 2007. Where did you see the invoice pricing for the 350z 2007?
Anyone have the 2007 350z invoice pricing? For me.....will want to get a 2007 350z Roadster Touring. I know the MSRP, but not sure what the Invoice price is? Or where I can find that information?

I would wait for it man. I have been waiting since 03 to get a Z an since i graduate in May i figured it would be a great time to buy one. I have been talking to dealers and they have been calling and throwin prices my way. I have not told them mat is around the time i plan to buy so i figured i can wheel and deal ofvef the next fw monts. Plus finding out what everyone else is paying helps me zero in the price i can get it for. Long story short is wait till you can drive an do a little low ballin.
Cheers
