Bashing through gears is not about going fast for me. Sure, its definitely faster round a track. But i get to chirp gears, hang the tail out on roundabouts, do abuse to my clutch with high rev dumps, its all about fun. Like playing with boobies.

I race 6 speeds all the time i have had only one beat me and he was more modified then i was like i said most people that have manuals can't even drive them to their full potential. I had the same thought that i wanted a 6 speed but after the test drive nah im happy with the auto in the z. I say if you don't have to lose any money then go for what you want if you lose money on the deal stick with what you got.

is the automatic really that much slower. im getting the 07 HR when it comes out, and i have never driven a 6MT

matter of fact i have a 4AT Sentra SE-R right now, and im just not happy at all.

That will be my daily driver for when i get the 350, se-r will be for the girlfriend and group traveling.

No, it isn't that much slower. In fact, considering the state of today's driver... It is faster in many instances. Plus alot more reliable. However, you do lose some of the feel of a sports car by having an auto.

To each his/her own.

i don't think it worth all the trouble just to get a MT Z. If you willing to trade your Z in just for that, get something else. It doesn't seem to make any sense to drive the same car twice, while their only different is the transmission. For that price get a used boxster, or a used C32 or something.

Dude, if it makes any difference the Z was the first manual car I've owned, and I drove it off the lot. Go for the MT. I haven't looked back since. The next car I drive will be a MT.

IMHO...NO thought should BE required on this issue...GET THE MT A.S.A.P.!!!

GET one before ALL cars mutate into paddle shifting, spirit-less plush sofas on 4 wheels!!

My Z is my first manual car and my friends wanted to teach me but not their cars So I traded my auto RX8. I dealt it for 2 years of my friends constantly asking me why I bought an auto and I put 9-10k grand on my RX8. Looking back I think it was a total waste putting aftermarket parts on my auto RX8 I could have used that money to take the bite for the trade in and gotten the Z sooner. Lessoned learn and I've never been so happy on any car purchase than my Z. I drove the car off the lot not knowing how to drive manual and I made it home! I had a friend followed me home though lol. If I were you I'd go ahead and trade it and trust me you'll be 10x satisfied when you get the MT.
