I know the general suggestion is to get a Civic and then get a 350z later on when I finish school or whatever. But the thing is, in 2 years, I'm going to go to a UC school for probably 8 years (grad school) or however long it takes. I won't have time to buy a nice car then. And after that, there is no way in hell I'd buy a 350z when I could afford cars like M3, Vipers, etc.

A 350z is suppose to be an affordable sports car. It's not the kind of car you get you're a lawyer or doctor or whatever. I mean, you could if you wanted to, but you could afford much better cars.

Btw, I'm not in high school, I'm in college. And I won't need to pay my sister any money, she's going to give me her Corolla when she gets her car.

its just the way it is!
I was referring to the Z. He said, "Z= everyone you age does" The bike is a totally different story, I know that. I'm sure it's a lot harder to control then the Z.

Personally I've never hit or scratched anything on neither my car nor my last car (1992 accord), so when he says "Everyone your age does." Just furthers the stereotype that all teens WILL wreck there car. So there for I get a bad rep, even though I drive carefully.

I understand it though, teens just got there license and are still learning to drive responsibly, but not all teens are like that.

Then stick with the Corolla and buy my bike.

You can't afford either. Don't waste your time or anyone elses. Take the free Corolla and give your sister a great big kiss from me. You don't sound like you're in college either since you don't even know how long it takes to graduate. Also, what makes you think that after college you could afford an M3, Viper, or the likes. There are plenty of college graduates driving around in 10 year old Honda Accords. If any of this story is true then I bet the only reason your parents made that deal was because they knew you couldn't do it. You're a kid working in a candy store. Every check you get is going back to Best Buy for games, TVs, CDs, DVDs, computers, and so on. This thread was retarded from the beginning. If your parents want to buy you a Z then ask them nicely and they might. I don't care if you get a free one. Thinking that you could pay for one working at Best Buy is insane. What are you going to do when your school load gets tougher and you can't work full time?

EDIT: One more piece of info for the OP, there are plenty of doctors, lawyers, engineers, and business owners on this site that drive Z's.

I'm not pissed. I am just tired of seeing this stuff. Your parents got you the Z right? That's fine with me. I'm glad your parents are doing well. I hope this kid's parents get him one too but there is no way he can afford one on his own. If he could afford a Z working at Best Buy making $8K/year after taxes assuming he stays working full time just imagine what he could buy if he worked at a real job. $40K/ year is 5 times what he makes now. He should be able to afford a car 5 times more expensive than a Z when he gets decent job.

$40K/year = $150K car

Everyone making $40K a year should be driving around in Astons, F360s, GT2s, and SL65s. I'm all for it.

Do you have any idea how much full coverage costs for a motorcyclist?

Rent a 350Z for the week.

Go to the movies with a date.
Take a ride in the rain.
Shop for groceries.
