Default Where's the best place to get an OEM key and keyfob?

As the title asks. I see keyfobs on Ebay for $24. Any problem purchasing one from there? Is there any other places other than a dealership to get a key? What do the dealers in the US charge for a key? Thanks

Ask a dealership how much they charge. It may differ from dealership to dealership.
I wouldn't feel comfortable buying a keyfob from Ebay, but I personally think Ebay is the devil.

I noticed that a few of the local locksmiths around here used non-nissan keyfobs when I needed them to do some cars at a dealership for me. If I recall on eBay, they sell actual nissan keys, uncut and not programmed, also if you don't get the nissan keys, I have never ever had a problem with the non-nissan keys my local locksmiths use. As for keyfobs, I've bought several keyfobs for various cars off eBay, just make sure you match the FCC numbers to be sure what will work with what car.

just go to the dealership. you get peace of mind that it'll work correctly.

cost is going to be a little high though

dealership: there will be someone to complain to if something doesn't work

vs

online: some online person

bought keys and key fob off ebay for less than $30, no problems. I programmed key fob myself and took key to a locksmith. He charged $70.00 to cut and program. Stealership charges $120 for keyfob and $30 to program and $130 for key and $50 to program

all newer nissans uses transponder keys which needs to be programmed. different dealerships charges differently.... the dealership i work at charges roughly $80-100cdn for a key (depends on models) and $50 for the programming (key fobs are approx $80ish+ and programming is free)

You paid $30 for keys AND a key fob? Were the keys uncut ? And how do you program a key fob yourself ?

I bought my keyfob on ebay for $10 + s&h on ebay. Works perfectly, took just a few minutes to program. I would recommend doing that with a reputable seller.

key fob program instructions are in the 350z manual I believe, can't remember. If not I think the supplier sent them. The key was uncut, simply took it to a locksmith who can cut and program transponder. Car has to be available to do this, took about 30 minutes

sorry to bring this post back to the top, but i just recently lost my keys and i need to get another set. I understand that they might need to program the fob, but how exactly do you program a key?
