JN1AZ34D64M102154 is the VIN.
Its supposedly 04 350z enthusiast, can anyone tell me if that vin range is an 04 or an 04.5? Or in the range that suffered the tire feathering?

Does it have knee pads on the center console?

 

Didnt think to ask the dealer that. If it does, that means its an 04.5 right?

 

I originally found the official distinction between the two on the nissan-tech.com site. You can tell in the VIN numbers:

2004 Nissan 350Z Coupe/Roadster (Coupe VINs up to D*4T160000,E*4T060000) (Roadster VINs from D*4T102001 to D*4T110000 & from A*4T002001 to A*4T010000)

2004.5 Nissan 350Z Coupe/Roadster (Coupe VINs from D*4T160001, E*4T060001) ( Roadster VINs from D*4T110001, A*4T010001)

 

What is the difference between 04 and 04.5 as mine is 04.5 and everyone mentions these .5 things is there a change in them?

 

knee pads! lol. but also its supposed to not have the tranny problem the early 04's and 03's had. as well as new suspension. but I have an "early" 04 and i love my stiff clutch and i have zero tranny problems

 

Gotcha cause yeah I have an 04.5 then. But really I never thought there were any problems with my Z other than my dash rattles just where the red alarm light flashes from. Do u know what this is?

 

The Z just rattles. I have this one that just starting. it sounds like metal hitting metal. thought it was in the door, but my gf was listening for it, appers its behind my head unit. the colder weather brings out the annoying rattles!

 

Dealer tells me it has the kneepads, but the vin makes it seem like its not an 04.5. Now Im confused. Doh

Oh wait, does it matter if its an enthusiast and not just a coupe?
