Default Wiseco piston hp limit.

Has anyone ever seen a rating from Wiseco? I can't find one.

Has anyone found out the "real" limit the hard way?

These are in my engine. Just would like to know where to stop.

I realized that wiseco has a phone number. So I used it. Friendly, helpful guy by the name of Keith (I think. I'm terrible at names). Says the weak point is the wrist pins at they're rated at 150hp/per. So 900hp. He also confirmed that this number is a flywheel horsepower rating. Now I mmer know

Same rating as Eagle rods. That said, I have heard of an Eagle rod failing (at 900+ whp) but I have not heard of a wrist pin or a piston failing (in the last 10 years)

wrist pin size is a real issue, esp on high HP VQ's.

Took the supra crowd a long time to realize that thicker wrist pins were available as upgrades. I doubt many VQ builders thought about ordering the thicker options when getting pistons as they are not advertised.

I've got CP pistons with the standard pins, which will get replaced with their thick ones when i get refreshed.

I know its validity has been debated in depth, but I thought the advertised rating for the eagle rods was 1500hp.

I got curious and called Wiseco again today.

Pistons with upgraded S710 wrist pins rated 200-225 hp/cylinder.

I could be wrong but I recall K1 rods being somehow associated with Wiseco.

I’m currently on the K1 rods, it’s just weisco claims the boostline series supports up to 2000hp.
