Oh... and repost.
Or if you're Borat you'd want a "woman's vazhïn tight like a man's anoos".

i actually bought my z from a subaru dealership, a guy traded it in for an sti and i know the head mechanic up there and he said the guy wishes he never got rid of his z. i've also hear all over that the vq35de is one of the strongest stock motors that alot of people have ever modified. and it just seems to me that the z has much more potential compared to the sti. I've driven a few sti's and other than launching and good stock handling i really haven't been too impressed with them. the cars have poor top end with i find very odd in a turbo car. you can go to the track and see for yourself how the performance between the two stack up. i promise your you'll see more z's in the 11's and 10's than you will sti's. but you know everyone has their opinion, thats mine and i'm not trying put down anyone else's thats just what i think. but i'll tell ya if i wasn't driving a z i'd be driving an sti.

Just go drive them and see what you like. I was in a situation just like yours a few months ago and I had the same reaction from everyone here. This is the conclussion I came to.

-If you want a good all around decent looking car that has some performance potential and no one will hate on it, get the 350z cause it doesnt do anything wrong.

-If you want a decent all around car that will cause a little controversy but has a bunch of performance potential get the STI.

-and if you want a decent all around car that will cause a crap load of controversy handles insane and has a $hit load of performance potential. Do what I did and get a evo

may I just ask why you're on a 350z website. I don't mean to flame on you or anything but I'm just wondering why an Evo guy is on here. I wouldn't go to other car's websites.

Because I am a car enthusiast and not just some evo fanboi. I love the 350z and like following whats going on in the car community. The guy asked for a honest opinion on something that doesnt require a z owner. Also what you would or wouldnt do is your business and if you would like to go to a evo board or whatever thats up to you, just make sure you do it for the right reasons.

This is why I don't go on this forum very much. Sometimes the comments here are worse than a civic forum, theirs so many fanboys here its ridiculous.

STi has alot of performance potential both out out of the box and with mods. It has excellenet AWD capability and a decent amount of cargo/passenger room. This might not matter to someone like me but for someone who needs that its an excellent option to get a performance car without alot of sacrifice in pracitaclity. The Z is a little slower stock but some people think it looks nicer and prefer the smoothness of the NA v6 to the Turboed 4. Neither car is really better they both have there pros and cons just leave it at that. Some people have really been stretching their reasoning pretty thin to come up with proof that the STi isn't a good car.

Your funny you should consider researching the sti a little more and what the ej25 is capable of.

The Z and the STI are different types of cars. One is a Classy GT, one is a no holds bard make-it-as-fast-as-you-can-as-cheap-as-you-can race car for the road. On that note, why would people buy an STI over an EVO? EVOs are faster, corners beter, and looks x100 better!

Nice EVO. Why do people hate the looks of the EVO, I think they look so sick!

Thanks evolved326, I love the looks of the car but I do agree that it has some what of a love it or hate it quality about it. I could see why someone would want a sti over a evo considering that they are completely different in just about every way. They ride, drive, handle, accelerate, decelerate, completely different. And the sti is actually faster then the evo in a straight line. Granted its only by about .10-.30 sec's but that mostly has to do with the sti being easier to launch because of the amount of tq it has, but keep in mind that this is stock for stock and the 4g63 is a bit more capable of a motor then the ej25. Around a track the evo works the sti 9 times out of 10 though.

your right, there's no way that i spent months researching both the z and sti for months before i got my z, including talking to a couple of guys that build sti's for a living but built z's for themselves.

Hahah are you serious???

We get hated on ALL the time. Well not to our faces, but people hate on the downlow and on forums.

I don't see much controversy with EVO's. Some people just like to brush off the performance potential because they look like a modified base Lancer.

Nice Evo btw.
