That's great it really is. I think some of us need to keep in mind that the search engine on this forum is really not that great though. Apparently you get added features if you are a premier member? Not sure if this is true or just heresay, but I know I am not real happy with results using more than one keyword, which really should help get a more useful return. Guess I just needed to vent.
edit to add: try something like "jwt AND twin". I just did that and the top result was a thread about jwt clutches....not very relevant.

the reason it is messed up is because there are tons of threads asking the same question over and over, rather than someone searching in the first place and then adding their question to the original thread. i would rather see a ressurected thread from 3 years ago with a new question on the topic rather than 20 new threads asking the same thing. it just clutters the board up. it may be time to shut the board down for a few days and do a mass pruning job. then once that is done, be on top of the "i just wanted a quick answer" posts which 9 out of 10 reposted questions are anyway. for example, i typed OIL into the search and on the first page alone, there were at least 5 topics asking about the oil consumption problem. those can be made into one mass thread.

Oh I agree that the less cluttered the better Z04. I'm merely suggesting that providing a better boolean search feature could benefit users who actually do search, in turn this would help reduce the clutter.
