What are people getting rid of/trading in for their new Z?
I myself wrecked my 93 Blue TT (after trading a pearl white 94 2+2 for it) and had to drive around the last 2 years in a 89 Iroc Z28 5.7 liter...I was going to get a nicer car, but didn't want to get another 90's Z, and nothing else appealed to me. Thank god I waited! Anyway I'm sure mine is the shittest car to be sold to get the new Z..
Wow, so far, even though I rank the highest on the white trash scale, my IROC has the best 0-60 in the trade ins!!! (Lets' not talk about the twisties please, the Carvan would prob. smoke me.)

Good question and thread starter
I have a mint 1995 two-tone silver dodge intrepid . It's the ES 3.5 liter . Interior is IMMACULATE , not one spot or crack of any kind in it. Tan interior with tan leather seats..
I wont trade it in, I will easily get $9,000 or so canadian selling it privately.. The $9k will go right into the Z of course

2000 Eclipse GT...It was cool before the roads got flooded with them. Now after 2.5 years of payments, I'm barely keeping up with the depreciation. Thank you 0-0-0 program. I'll be lucky to come out $1500 ahead when I sell.

1999 Mercury Cougar. Was my first new car (at the ripe age of 23), so just went for something that looked cool. Now, older and wiser, I see the error of my ways and am ready for a real car.

2000 BMW Z3 roadster. I'm in a very bad, expensive cycle that started with the purchase of a new '91 300ZX 11 years ago...I'm car-spoiled. I can not drive a car that I don't love.
BTW, I traded in an '88 Mazda 323 hatchback on the '91 300ZX. I don't think I'll ever experience an upgrade like that again unless I hit the lottery and can get a McLaren or Murcielago.

My yellow 90TT ... she has taken care of me since I bought her from my brother-in-law in 1995. A lot of upgraded mods...a lot of fun...a lot of great memories...a lot of very close calls (all coming out safely).
I think everybody feels something special to a car that they have truly loved. But like life -- remember, appreciate, and move on -- and as Kurt Vonnegut wrote a long time ago... so it goes.
The only consolation is that she will be replaced by a younger sister... and remembered.
