Hi, I recently bought a 2005 350z and it seems like it needs an oil change. I am in the process of trying to change it but have no idea where to place the floor jack. I've done plenty of oil changes on other cars but just don't know where to place the floor jack for the z.

Please help me out by posting a picture of where the jack should be or you can describe it to me. Thanks in advance.

 

There should be a line marking under the cars frame that shows you where to stick the jack. Someone correct me if im wrong

 

Just get some Rhino ramps from your local auto parts store. But here are the jack points.

That has to be the longest oil change I've ever done. Took me 45 min.

 

good thing you did it yourself and save the money.

 

techincally anywhere on a frame rail is safe...but for stabilities sake, follow the diagram.

45 mins~! holy crap... you should of installed some sway bars and coil overs if you took that long!!

 

Do you use rhino ramps? I have a set my self, and there is no way in hell that i could roll my Z up them without rippin off the front bumper.

 

I have ramps with optional plastic ramp that attaches to it. Made for low cars and still with factory springs I can barely get it up on them. If I'm off a 1/2" it will rub a little on the bottom of the bumper. so I put duct tape so that I do not transfer paint at that point.

I have a splitter that uses the front bolts to hold it on so I modified the deflector shield underneath and now I have six less bolts to take out.

 

I just built my own ramps out of wood...since i made them myself...they are high (11 inches) and long(7 feet) so i could get the Z up there...took about an hour to make them...well worth it
