If a 200lb heavier G35 runs 13.7 and sprints to 60 in 5-seconds, I whole heartedly expect the 07 350Z to do 13.5 and get to 60 in 4.9 seconds. They probably just tested an 06.
Edit: Damn, the weight difference between an 04 and an 07 is 200lbs.

just stopped by the local dealership and they have a "chrome silver?" but I think the hood looks soo much better in person than in the pictures...it gives the car a really aggressive look. I want to see a solar orange in person but they only had the one silver one.
Thanks for the pics Eddie. I think the hood is sorta growing on me. I think it'll look better in person. I've got the last of the Lemans Sunset - 06
. So, no new Z for me for a while...

Ok going out on a limb... am I seeing some posters are shocked by the fact the tach is in the center instead of the speedo? Um... yea, I have an '03 since 2002 and the tach has always been in the middle. That's nothing new. There's a reason for having a tach in the the middle... it's for us owners with 6sp manual.
The tail lights are the same... is it the winter storm that's causing brain freeze around here?
As for the numbers, I could care less. The simple question is... does it feel faster, and is it faster?

Yes this was for the 2007 model.
i doubt that its marginally faster that it will embarass current revups or lightly modded 287. But my guessing is that looking at the design its potential is what will eventually prove more usefull utilizing the current dual intake setup. Remember there heaver aswell. But , none the less revving to 7.5k has got to be fun. Just when i was getting used to rev to 7k. lol I can only imagine the tq curve though. It will be nice to get beat by one just to see how much they improved on the VQ. Cant wait to make a vid 287 vs revup vs HR

Bah, I wouldn't put much stake into this test. I'd much rather wait until someone here took the car to a track.
Edit: Eh, looks like they aren't the most capable of drivers. These Evo numbers are crap too.

Where is the light-weight, non-couch potato version of the Z? There should be a no-radio, no-rear carpet, no-anything-that's-related-to-luxury version. I would buy that in a heartbeat.
By the way Eddie, could you please film the new engine reving and driving around for us
? I wonder what it sounds like.

Sorry, dude. My bad. I was up too late after a very long Friday at work. and misunderstood your post. I take it that we agree that the re050's are much better than the re040. I went back and re-read it today. I thought you were disagreeing with that.
I have the 06 GT with the re050's and my wife has an 06 Enth. with the re040's. I can't stand the re040's on her car. They just feel greasy. I don't think it's just my larger size either. When the 040's lose grip (in a corner), it takes a while before the hook up again. The re050's hook back up again immediately and they let go very gradually. It's night and day to me.
