They say the ENGINE does. It does it in the 07 G35 coupe, with the help of a shorter final drive, which the Z will not get. No idea why! Z will prolly be .2 seconds quicker to 60, which means the G35 coupe will still be faster than the z. G35 owners spend more $$ on their cars and prolly expect to be faster. I have no idea...
I think Nissan will some out with a supercharged or twin turbo version on the new HR engine... Why else the stronger bottom end? Why no lower final drive? What is the mystery model that has not come out yet?
Sorry I cut and pasted and went to bed without checking. Wasn't sure if it would be direct link. I guess the paste dried and left some ****** behind. LOL
Mthreat..thanks for the quick fix!!

that seems like someone at nissan just altering graphs to make their boss happy. 6 more hp than the current Vq motor, is not going to make 1 sec. 0-60mph improvement. Unless the tourque curve changes drastically, it's a bunch of overhyped big words.

The ratings you see on car spec sheets, I believe are supposed to be SAE net horsepower. This is measured at the flywheel, on an engine dyno, and the engine is tested with all accessories installed, including a full exhaust system, all pumps, the alternator, the starter, and emissions controls.
