Just noticed something about the interior
It uses almost the exact same materials as a Ford Mondeo. Now wait, before everyone thinks that is an insult.... This is probably the best car Ford sells, it is only available in Europe, and it is the replacement for the Contour.
The door panels are the same material, the dash is the same, with the CF plastic look center piece, some similar material to the doors on the sides of the dash, the same silver trim on the steering wheel, the same trim for the door handles, the exact same trim piece around the shifter, and the same accents on the shift ****. The seats are also a similar material.
I just thought it was interesting, I have been driving around for a week in my German rental, and did not notice. When I first got in I took notice of the materials, they are not very "Fordish" (if that's a word). I have read in many places that Nissan tried to take the VW and Audi route, but it seems almost an exact duplicate of the Mondeo. I do not think it is as close to the VW and Audi's. But, all in all, a good way to make an inexpensive interior look nice.
