Ah, I get it. That's okay, I think every forum has a deltaforce lurking in it's not-too-distant past. Now I know what kind of threads to start if I want to get this site's panties in a bunch.

The back is very easy to kick out, and I'm sure you'll enjoy driving the Z.

Or, more responsibly, if you're taking an exit ramp fast, can you lift off the gas to help bring the rear around if needed or mash the gas to help the rear step out under acceleration?
To the first question -- yes, and it's so damn easy to drift with the VLSD! I'm certainly no drifter but I can still get the back out and it's so easy to control through the drift. Just watch out when you let off and regain grip, make sure you're aimed in the right direction!

As for overall handling, many instructors at the track (high performance driving events) have said that the 350z handles like a dream and is very easy to drive fast.

Ah, thanks!

Yeah, I'm no 'drifter'. I'm talking about drifting in that you feel the car slipping a couple inches but it wouldn't be visible from the outside; more a technique to get pointed into an apex better.

This new extreme-drifting hobby makes it hard to talk about regular sporty driving now.

Thanks for your description. I like what you said about the instructors' impressions.

Essentially you can do the same when coming to a stop light. Turn the wheel sharply, and hit the brakes. Then steer opposite the direction of the rear end. That will get you into a side slide. If you time it right, you can slide up to another car at the red light. The other driver will go “Oh man like that’s radical dude.”

OMG!! I just laughed out loud so hard my boss wanted to see what was so funny!!! ha ha haaaa

totaly rad man! girls only like guys with good skills!
