Default Why I'm a dog person...

Picture yourself cruising to the airport at 3:00AM in the morning. It's only 5 degrees out and you've got the cruise control on 80mph...

Then all of a sudden, a little orange blur appears in your lights running across the road from the drivers side...crunch!

At first I was a little upset that I just killed an animal. Then when I pulled over and saw my front end...well let's just say that changed!

But yes, it was a cat that did this! Here's to $1,200 worth of repairs! I soooo hate cats!

On the bright side, the car is repaired, looks great, and to top it off, I don't have those friggin' holes drilled for a front license plate. I'd rather get pulled over...

Christian

Where were you driving in NJ or NY where the speed limit was 80mph or more?

Sorry man, I didn't see that it was 3AM. My bad, I usually reach upwards of 130 at that time. I thought you meant 3pm. I hate cats, I'm allergic and besides that their the reincarnation of the most bit**y bi***es to have ever existed. Sorry about your unfortunate incident. I had a similar experience w/ a skunk. I wish money would have paid for that smell to go away. lol.

that sucks man, and a lot of damage from just a cat. I actually hit a big golden retreiver (i think thats what it was) but it was on the street and i was going only 40 or so. Creased my bumper and side panel a bit. Crazy thing is i swerved just enough so i didnt hit the dog head on and the dog bounced off the car and ran back down the street it came from. Never did get paid back by the owner of the dog though.

I'm sure the cat got what he deserve! Sucks you can't take the cats family/owners to court, the American way!

I kinda feel sorry for the cat. If I were in your shoes, my insurance would take care of the damage and it'd go towards my comprehensive insurance, where I only pay $100 deductible.

If it was my neighbor's cat, then that's a different story because that damn cat keeps coming over to my yard to take a dump.

Either way, hope you didn't have to pay too much out of pocket and you got yourself a hole-less fender.

that cats should be dead!

$1200 for repairs is just stupid. You should have atleast bought an aftermarket kit or someting with that money!

I know a guy that swerved in order to hit a cat and rolled his car. Big oops.

My friend did see the cat laying on the side of the road the next day...or what was left of it.

As far as the money, I only had to pay $450 for my deductible, which I really need to lower. Insurance covered the rest. I do want to switch it up a bit, but I haven't decided which way to go yet.

WOW! Actually, you are lucky it was not a dog, could have been much worse. Even worse if it were a deer. Was that the cost for only the front bumper or was there more damage than just that?

Price was for bumper, absorber styrofoam, reflectors, wheels liners, under shroud, mud guards (which had actually been scratched by a rock so I figured they could replace them), and I think there were two other things listed. Plus they had a specialist match the paint, and I'm sure labor is in there too.
