Default My test drive of the 07 ZR

Hey guys,
Well its been a month but i am back in action. Anywhom i stoped by the Nissan dealership yesterday for an oil change when i noticed this very bright orange 07 ZR that was sitting there. A sales man approached me and asked if i wanted to test drive, i said why not since i am waitn for my oil change. The one i drove had a solar orange paint jopb and it looked really hott i mean really hott. The car IMO is very overpriced, it felt a little bigger and comfortable than my 04 ZR but not worth what they were asking for. What gets me is that they were asking for 43k plus tax and license you were looking at 47k. Granted you have a higher rev and the 2 intakes ( which the salesman kept repeating lol) and the extra power but for 47k?
i dont think so...

LoL is right... I saw the intakes first hand this weekend at the Chi-town auto show. The MAF tubes are small and the filter itself is roughly 60% the size of the single intake filter. Here I thought the new guys were getting 2x the bang!

Tell him in a month or so you will come back and show him what a 47k Z looks like when you go aftermarket, BBK, FI, built motor, etc., etc...........

$47k, no thanks. Not gonna spend all those thousands to get to the corner store a few tenths of a second faster.

no it just had a navigation and everything else looked like a touring model Z
i would take a 03 base for 20 and dump 27 k instead

You guys make it sound like they raised the price of the Z by $10,000.

Leave the tax, license reg fees, etc out of the equation and you'll quickly learn that it was a fully loaded ZR with nav at MSRP. Its a couple dollars more than any previous fully loaded ZR. Your misleading people into thinking the MSRP was 47k or that they were asking more than MSRP.

Personally, I haven't taken a test-drive yet. I was actually expecting a test-drive impression after reading the title of the thread, and I got more price-tag related stuff instead.

Really, test drove a newer version of your car where the only major difference is the engine, and it being a performance oriented car, all you can do is talk the "47K" price tag?

Wow! They LET you test drive their only 07' ZR that I'm sure was sitting on the showroom floor? I recall when the ZRs first came out, each dealer got one, and no test drives were allowed. Tell us about it!

BTW, oil changing is very easy. Spend an hour on Saturday morning doing it.
