I personally look, because i don't see the 350z as just another commuter car. But i don't blame people for not waving or even looking because you see a 350z everywhere you go. Almost as bad as driving a 3 series BMW.
Yup theirs actually a few in the city i live in so whenever we see each other thiers always a wave or high beams. Guess it depends mainly on whos behind the wheel you would think half of them had a stick up thier ***.
I think this is due to the simple fact of the sheer number of them on the roads. 95% of Z drivers don't really care about the car's heritage, nor could be considered "enthusiasts" in any way. They wouldn't even recognize the fact that you were driving the same type of car they had if you did wave or honk at them. I used to acknowledge other Z's, but stopped due to the sheer number of clueless morons that drive them now.
Seriously I get tired of acknowliging them then they decide to uturn and come racing up beside me revving. There is a difference in giving a little wave and wanting to race.
Maybe it's just the idiots in my town.

This is true most have no idea about the history of the Z. They pretty much buy the car because it just looks cool and they want the attention. But seriously its hard to go out and take a nice ride without seeing someone who drives a Z and couldnt care less about it. Or other cars like RICED OUT(honda's) cutting you off doing like a 100mph just so they feel better about themselves.
lol let's make it a rule to always wave xD
the ones that **** me off are soccer moms that give you the ... "stay off the road you youngin' you're gnna kill my kids with the way you drive" ... i'm like "B!*** you're driving the same car as me so stfu! maybe you should trade in your Z for a minivan so you can ACTUALLY drive your kids HOME from the game!"

Heres what I noticed, I have a Jeep Wrangler that I drive most of the time. Jeep people usually always nod, wave or something to that affect. Its the same way when I'm riding on my bike. People usually wave. But when I'm in my Z which is not stock by no means, people don't wave as much. Every now and again I'll have someone wave or nod. But in the Jeep probably 90% of people wave. but most Z's in my area are stock with older people in them.
Only had one expierence with a older women driving a Z. She was behind me at first then went into the other lane now u can hear her flooring the gas. SO she comes beside me gives me a thumbs up and flies off i was so shocked i almost crashed into a guard rail
But hey put a smile on my face all different kinds out there driving different cars she was one chilled lady.
Last night I was sitting in the Bonefish parking lot talking to my buddy and this DB Z pulls in and picks up food and leaves..he had Nismo wheels, but not lowered or anything...I drove off and so I left and ended up following him to see if he'd slow to acknowledge me, but he really didn't untl he turned right and I went straight and flashed my brights and waved a peace sign...he looked over his shoulder, but it was dark so I couldn't tell if he waved...I'm thinking he is a kid on this forum from Granger, IN...but he had a Notre Dame license plate cover....if it was you, say hi next time, there aren't many Z's in South Bend, Indiana, it's nice to see one once in a while.
