That being said, I will always have a black car in my garage.
Amen!

i have MB and I LOVE IT. as long as it's not raining, just carry around a duster in your trunk....dust it once a day and you'll be fine.

Personally, I dont think black is that much a pain in the ***. Protect the paint and youll be fine. A good polish and wax 2-3 times a year and youll take care of swirls. After that is just a matter of washing it alot. I was mine whenever it gets dirty... And it looks fresh if you keep up on your polishin/waxing

I love how black looks at night when the street lights hit it. I really like my LeMans Sunset. So far it really seems to hide swirls well, and shows very little dirt, i figured it'd be a PITA when i bought it.

When you live in Washington, you learn to deal with crap like this. It's livable to have a black car, and it's the coolest color and what my car is being painted in.

However, I will miss Silverstone though.

+1 on above comments. The black is difficult to maintain but when it's clean, it is an awesome color. Especially on the Roadster.

BTW, those are my winter wheels and snow tires (pic taken last Oct).

No what do you think???
Nissan got a new black paint for '07 that will eliminate all possibilities of swirl marks and also has a static charge that helps to deflect dirt from sticking to it. So now you get the sexy look of black without the worries and headaches of the constant required upkeep!!!

my old 04 SB had a few swirls from the get go and it just got worse and worse. The 07 MB is flawless right now I waxed the F out of it the first days I got the car. Never do circular motion just up and down, a clean bucket of water is very important and a clean sponge. Black is a pain to keep clean especially when you dont have a garage!
