Default I think i finally find my '05 350z

Sorry for so many first threads, but your feedback is helping me make the right decisions. Thanks alot. I figured i'd have to get any model year 2005 or newer. Found this one on autotrader sitting real pretty.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...g=1&cardist=15

Hes the second owner and he is 63 yrs old. The car has 10k miles, and is selling for 24,000. 6sp, cloth interior, no oem spoiler, clear front reflectors. The only thing im concerned about is that the 1st owner sold it at 8k miles, and this guy bought it and is now selling at 10.5k miles. My question is, the 05's have no known feathering issues right? I've done a search and it seems only 03's and 04's do, but some threads states that their '05s have feathering and tranny issues as well? I'm confused. Also, this owner has no idea what model it is, he just bought it. Could you guys maybe help me find out just by looking at the picture? I'm not sure, looks like a base or track. Anyway, is $24,000 a good price, the car is still under warranty as well. I'm really excited about this one, gonna test drive on tomorrow. Are you guys satisfied with your '05s? thanks.

I didnt see the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, so I am guessing its a base model.

It definitely is a base. I bought a new 06 base in June 06 with spoiler (not side airbags so that is a wash) for only 2K more than that. I would suggest looking at a new 06/07 for the small price differential.

Also it is my understanding that the base 05 and earlier don't have bi-xenon HID lights, while the 06/07 base do.

I just bought my 2005 Touring 6MT with rear spoiler and 13,800 miles for 25,000. That price seems too high for a base.

24k for a 2 year old car? You can get it new for $3k more and the new engine. I bought an 05 Touring with 8.5k miles for $25k... Not a good deal, buy an 07 new. If you don't have the money now save up and get an 07, you'll regret spending that much on an 05.

ok so i got the guy to give me a price drop. Hes now giving me a price of 22000. I called the local nissan and they gave me a price of 27,643 otd. What do you suggest? I love the HID projectors and LED tails, but i could simply buy these parts seperate and slap them on the '05. With the $ im saving i could get decent rims and the nismo lsd and im set for drift heaven. I guess it comes down to financing, would my monthly payments be higher for the new car?

$22,000 or $22,000 OTD? If it's not OTD add on like $3k for paper work and taxes then its back up to $25,000. Wouldn't you rather a brand new car for $2k more? I'm thinking of trading in my 05 Touring for an 07 Enth, trust me you want the new car. And no your monthly payments will either be the same or probably less on the new car because you get a lower interest rate on new cars, rather than used cars.

+1 for spending the extra money to get the newer '07 model. I was in the same boat a year & half ago. I went into the market looking for '03 or '04 for low $20k's but decided it was better to spend just a little extra for a brand new one.
