Default 2003 350z

hey, im about to purchase a 2003 350z. it has 17,000 miles on it. the car is mint and has leather seats, both seats are power and heated. it also has that little lip sploiler...now im not sure what else it has but i got the price down to 18,000..what do u guys think of the price? im going there today to see if it has any other options....and btw ive been driving my friends z and the clutch on it feels like it grips instantly, all my other cars didnt do that, i thought that was weird. is it supposed to feel like that, are all z's like that?
thanks.

Dude, jump on that car if it's clean (do a carfax). That's a great price for such a low milage Touring model.

As for the clutch, some have a low engagement point, others are high and clutches can feel different from ear to year on the Z. My '03 grips pretty instantly like you described.

^^ Sounds as though you are looking at a Touring model. $18K with such low mileage is a good price.

And, yes the Z’s clutch engages quickly.

Also, ask if the following manufacturer campaigns have been completed on that specific Z:
1) Tire feathering corrected
2) Fuel filler neck replaced with new style
3) Transmission swap-out (only if necessary...some of the early Z's had transmissions issues)

I have a 2003 but have had no transmission issue...one of the lucky early Z33 owners. Anyways, good luck with your deal. Long live the Zed!!!

I recommend that you look for new front tires. Its a dead give-away for potential problems.

it has a vcd button and an empty button right by it, is that supposed to be tcs? does this mean the car has no tcs? other than that the car drives fine but has minor cosmetic damage from little rocks. also has hid's. i guess ill be picking it up...love the attention i get in it.

Yes you have TCS. VDC closes your throttle momentarily so you can regain control if it feels you slipping. Saved my *** a couple times I think if you press it, it will turn off TCS and VDC. Could be wrong though. I usually turn mine off when doing "spirited driving" straight line from stoplight to stoplight, when there is little chance of spinning out of control. Makes "dumping" the clutch (for lack of better words) more fun

That button/blank configuration is correct. TCS is part of VDC.

nice price, i got a 2003 track with 38,000 miles, for $16,900 + $800 shipped from florida to california, the 03 had more issues than the later models but they are minimal. you can have a great car under 20k, you cant beat that.
