People who crash Z's....
Certainly being involved in a crash is a horrible experience. Your car is damaged (maybe turned into a salvaged vehicle), you may suffer personal injury (or even worse, cause personal injury to others), and the experience can be devastating. It gets even worse when you report this and get flamed on a public forum.
I’m certain that those who experience this
learn a lesson, and they become much better and more conservative drivers.

The ABS doesn't "go crazy" without your foot firmly planted on the brake. And you were the one mentioning the extreme angle of the wheel. The oversteer attempt was pretty ridiculous.
I've come from the land of eternal Ice and snow. You really can't tell me that your situation wasn't preventable. Hell, when I took my drivers test, there was a foot of ice on the roads, which hadn't been cleaned for months because the city ran out of snow removal budget.
Not ALL Incidents are preventable, but most are. And yours was. Instead, though, you choose to blame the ice rather than think what YOU could have done differently.

like i said, you werent there, props to you for driving in canada, but dont think that i know nothing about snow driving, and dont think that i didnt know what i was doing in this situation. i may have hit the curb but i nearly managed to avoid it. ice+350z=bad situation as we all know and i did everything i could
^^ I agree with you, and I've experienced the conditions you describe. Many of the readers here never see or drive in these circumstances and may not understand those challenges. Snow and ice make driving very difficult no matter what vehicle you drive. You obviously understand this.

I took my driving test on sheet ice. I drove in the snow and ice for *years* without any problems. I've had my Z out in the snow and ice -- but I was smart enough to put all-season tires on it before I tried to do that. Plus, I realize that the posted limit is for dry roads, no wind, and during the daytime.
