Anyone regret going from a G35C to a 350Z???

Also, you say that the Z weighs "only" 150 lbs. less but 150 extra pounds is still a pretty significant difference. Just ask any race car team.

A G35 has exactly the same aftermarket parts available as a Z does.
It's still going to weight 150lbs more, but a modded G35 can easily outperform a 350z, and the same way around (a modded Z can easily outperform a G35).
Is it because you believe luxury sport coupes do not belong at a track?
I'm not bashing your opinions at all, I just believe they are a little ignorant (im saying this with no offense to you).

You won't see any G35s on the track. Why? They are not cometitive. That's objective and it's a simple fact.
Edit: In a straight line they are close. But on a closed circuit track or canyon carving, it's a whole different story.

But here in Los Angeles, the city where you might see more cars than anywhere else in the nation, G35's are as popular at the track as the 350z.
And since when has your opinion been a fact?
You might be confusing objective for subjective

It's all good. To each their own... For the same purchase price you can have Gimicks (Ie luxury) or Performance... Your pick. If you want true performance you get the Z. If you want less performance (but an Infinty name to brag about) you get the G35.

The city of Los Angeles officially has an estimated population of 3,754,000. There are an estimated 10 Infiniti Dealers within 35 miles of Los Angeles. With about 3 local tracks.
The city of Atlanta has official population of 394,929. There are an estimated 4 dealers around 35 miles of Atlanta. With about 1 local track.
If you know anything about statistics, you will know the answer.
I have argued with a couple of members around many forums just like you. And, if anything, I've learned to keep my mouth shut; you people will just not learn. I guess I failed this time.
(Maybe a ton of name-brand purses was a better option for you than a sports car afterall)

"To each his own" is right. I bought a 2004 G35C about 9 months ago. I sold it about 3 months later and bought a Z. I loved the car, dont get me wrong. Great leather seats, very smooth clutch, smooth acceleration and all. In reality I never used the back seat... and I never raced the car. In my opinion, my friends who have G's tend to just chill in the car, take it for a ride etc. My friends with Z's tend to do more work on the car to make it perform at its max. level. Personally, I love cruising in my Z myself because it's a gorgeous car and I do upgrades here and there when I have some extra cash. Either way, both cars are awesome and I couldnt bash a G if I saw it at the track. The way I see it, they're 99% alike, and both have unique features that fit your particular needs.
FairladyZ06,
I like the way you think. It's probably because you've gotten a taste of both sides.
By the way, either im reading it wrong, or does half of your user name mean your a Z06 owner?
It probably means Fairlady Z [2006], but just incase you do own a Z06, show us some pictures!

I don't know anything about cars because I think one car looks better than the other? Ok, handling wise, I could be wrong on that, but the longer wheelbase does have some advantages. Plus, with the sport package it should handle very close, those 150lbs won't make a HUGE difference.

You're the retarded dumbass for thinking that YOUR opinion is somehow better than mine. I hope the rest of your 500+ comments aren't as moronic.
Style-wise, the Z has a nasty looking front view, specifically the headlights. They are two feet long, huge, and angular. The G is MUCH better in that regard. Z's rear lights aren't bad, but G's just look super sexy at night from the back, with the circular led's.

But looks are subjective.

i read a while back in a road and track where they tested the g coupe...their results indicated that it actually outhandled a z. their results, not mine.
the whole seeing more z's on a track means better performance/handling is retarded. all that means is more people with z's go to the track. honestly people who pick z's are generally more performance oriented. but who the **** cares? you picked your car for your reasons, as does everyone.

They had a head-to-head race between a 350z and G35 on Best Motoring, and they got similar times for the two cars. The 350z couldn't pull away from the G35 on the corners, and the straightline performance was pretty much the same. They came to the conclusion that even though the Z weighed less, the G35's longer wheel base made it more stable during the higher speed cornering so it offset the difference in weight.
So to all those saying the G doesn't perform as well...stock for stock, the G is just as good.
